Holy Trinity Council Meeting Minutes

April 14, 2020

Meeting held online via ZOOM at 6:00pm

Present: Tim Krick, Cristina Dolcino, Judy Evans, Linda Edwards, Rebecca Schrumm, Paul Karl, Julie Moore, Krissy Thistleford, Dave Smith

We celebrate and Give Thanks for the Past

1. Reconciling in Christ – on hold due to COVID-19 
2. Treasurer Report
  • See attached report.
  • Linda will write up the procedures we are using, in case we need to refer back to it in future.
    1. Secretary Report
  • Lifeline Screening still plans on holding their event on May 1. Given that they are medical professionals we are leaving the decision of whether to postpone up to them.

    1. Ministry Team Reports a. Serve the Lord – Paul
  • Caring Connections has put together a list of Shepherds to call members of the congregation on a regular basis.
  • Social Ministry: Ministry Minute on how we as a church can help charities who need help during COVID-19. Information will be in letter this week, Tidings, and announcement in church this coming Sunday. b. Grow in Faith – Julie
  • Outreach to children and parents: Pastor has been doing bedtime stories and Bible stories, Faith has done a few videos on resources for parents. Faith will also start coordinating a “Sunday School Lesson” once a week for families. c. Come Together – Rebecca

We Seek God’s Direction for our Church

1. Discussion on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)

  • Discussion of whether to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program.
  • Loan that becomes a grant if used for payroll, to help small businesses and nonprofits keep people on payroll.
  • Motion/Second/Approved: To move forward with applying for the Paycheck Protection Program under the CARES Act.
    1. Initial plans/ideas for when we come out of “sheltering in place”
