Holy Trinity Council Meeting Agenda February 11, 2020

Present: Tim Krick, Dave Smith, Cristina Dolcino, Judy Evans, Julie Moore, Rebecca Schrumm, Paul Karl. (Absent: Linda Edwards).

We Celebrate and Give Thanks for the Past

  1. Reconciling in Christ • See attached report. Proposed timeline was presented, with a vote proposed for April 19th.
  2. Treasurer Report • See attached reports.
  3. Secretary Report • There is a pictorial display by the Seacoast LGBQT History Project as part of one of our forums on RIC, scheduled for later in February. Glenn Oswald is coordinating with them for a start date and the display will be available for a month. • Beginning April 17, and lasting only until October, Nancy Hansen’s Japanese flower arranging group will be meeting in our gathering area every other Friday morning. This will be their yearly schedule. • Bike & Build will be here June 6–12. Leaders arrive June 6, riders arrive June 9, all depart on June 12. Mark Beliveau will be our church’s team leader for Bike & Build this year.
  4. Investment Committee’s recommendation Update • Tabled until next meeting.
  5. Pastor’s Report • See attached report. • Faith Bygd will be taking over the 8-hour/week Faith Formation Coordinator position. We are finalizing the paperwork now.
  6. Ministry Team Reports a. Come Together – Rebecca • No report. b. Grow in Faith – Julie • Got to meet Faith at the Faith Formation meeting last week, seems like it will be a good fit. • Youth Ski Weekend Feb 29-Mar 1, if there are enough kids. Calumet will have final say. • VBS will be July 19-23. c. Serve the Lord – Paul • Caring Connections is working on keeping the prayer list up to date. • AED training and CPR training is in the works, especially for ushers since that is a good way to make sure someone from the congregation who has been trained is there every service. Date TBD. • Feedback from Caring Connections: announcement to watch out for your pew neighbors timely, and should probably be repeated periodically, remembering that just because you have not seen someone doesn't mean something is wrong (regular worshippers = 1-2 times a month sometimes). • Home communion training in the works, date TBD. • 2019 mission giving

We Seek God’s Direction for our Church

  1. Annual meeting debrief • It would be helpful to have a set start time, especially for people who go to second service.

We Look to the Future

  1. Pastor’s reflection and Forward Leadership • Tabled until next meeting due to time.
  2. Lent supper schedule • Council will provide soup and bread March 4th.
  3. Easter planning • Music and Easter breakfast planning are underway.
