Holy Trinity and End 68 Hours of Hunger

Through this program, food is packaged in “backpacks” for students in schools who may experience hunger between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning.

The chapter of E68HH with which Holy Trinity is affiliated serves students in the Portsmouth area.

Our chapter packs 100+ bags per week and the organization as a whole packs over 700 bags per week. Many hands make light work, and this program is a great way to work alongside other church members and serve our community.

Holy Trinity participates by packing “backpacks” on Thursdays about every six weeks. We pack at the United Methodist Church in Portsmouth. The work is fairly easy and quick (we're usually done within one hour of time).  If you’d like to participate, please contact Nicholas or Mariah Kirsch.
