Our Stewardship Team is responsible for promoting expression of Christian Faith in the daily lives of the congregation and promoting the use of funds, time, and talents for the good of the congregation and the community.
The Stewardship Committee encourages everyone to review their monetary pledge to Holy Trinity. If you haven’t made a commitment to Holy Trinity by a Pledge card, it isn’t too late. We, the Committee, hope that all who attend Holy Trinity will be moved to give back to God a portion of God’s great gift to us. God has provided everything we have: the Earth we live on, family, jobs, the ability to earn, friends, even those with whom we disagree. These things all tie to our Stewardship theme for this year. “The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work. As it is written, ‘He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever’.” II Corinthians 9:6-9.
Thank you to everyone who pledged on Commitment Sunday (November 12). If you haven’t received a card, extra copies are located in the church office. We had a wonderful time at our Commitment Sunday brunch, filled with delicious gourmet quiches. Thanks to Jill Schock for setting up a craft table to make your own candle-holder.

Dave stated that “even though our income had not changed, we had more than enough to do everything we needed to do and most of what we wanted to do. There was nothing we lacked”.
My husband and I have had similar experiences when we decided to take the leap and trust in God. Three verses have been chose for our Stewardship Campaign; the one that means the most to me is verse 7: Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. In my opinion, if one gives more to receive more, they may have missed the point. God blesses us when we give because we want to give and trust that he will provide. It is not easy to increase ones pledge, but as our faith and trust in God grows, I think we become “cheerful givers” and isn’t that what God wants us to be?

Romans 12:6-8 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them….
Every Christian has been energized by God with at least one spiritual gift, given so that each of us can play our part in building the body of Christ. What is your distinctive part in building the body of Christ?
One of the responsibilities of the Stewardship Team is to assist members and friends in serving others through the Time and Talent form, If you did not fill out a Time and Talent form this past spring and would like to, you can find them on the Welcoming Table at the church entrance or contact, Jill Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to get you a form.
If you have filled out a form and have not been contacted by the Team Leader, please know that we may have made a mistake in the process and we want to rectify it as soon as possible.
The Stewardship Team thanks all of the team leaders for putting on beautiful displays at our Ministry Team Fair last week! Our hope is that after exploring the ministries we offer at Holy Trinity, you have discover where God is leading you. It may be to volunteer in a new ministry, to continue to volunteer in the ministry you are already, and/ or participate in a new one.
Sunday, May 21st, is our Annual Sundae Sunday. We ask that you please fill out a Commitment Form by checking the appropriate box associated with the ministry team in which you want to serve, whether you would like to remain volunteering where you are and/or chose new ministries.
During the service, there will be a time for you to come forward and place your form in the “Gift Box”. Following the 8:30 service, we will have a Sundae Party to celebrate with thanksgiving all the work that has been accomplished by our Ministry Teams during the past year and to say thanks to all who are making commitments for September 2017- August 2018.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the forms. It is the most accurate way to be sure that the names of all the people who want to participate in doing God’s work here at Holy Trinity are given to the appropriate team leaders.
